Julie Pointer

Photobucket

When I came across these images, I just HAD to share them with you guys. This cozy little backyard dinner was hosted by Julie Pointer to showcase her woodwork she created while getting her MFA in Applied Craft. The weather is so perfect right now for a little outdoor feast like this - too bad I don't have a grassy yard to cozy up in!! Someday. P.S. These images were taken by the  fabulous Laura Dart!

Julie is magic.
I've been blow away with all her hidden talent!

She showed up at our first kinfolk dinner with wooden salt & pepper holders that she just carved last minute. Insane.

The style of the photos is beautiful, and the pieces they show are to die for. I love wood, my parents used to make dishes when they cut trees for the winter, when we still lived in the middle of nature. It's like comforting to me.

These photos are so artistic! I want to be in that garden party.
MFA in Applied Craft sounds like a phenomenal degree, never heard of it before. Time for googlefu!

My favorite is the jar of utensils. Lovely. There's such beauty in woodworking.
